Cat Ball in Video

When you're self employed you have to wear a lot of hats, and I've never owned a videographer hat before.

This means that I also have never owned the equipment, worked with lighting, or had access to an assistant who could wrangle the cat models while I filmed. My results are painfully amateur, but these little films will give you an idea of how my cats use their Cat Ball for play time while also demonstrating the device's physical properties.

This video shows the same cat in a Jumbo Cat Ball. The music is annoying in this one.... sorry!

This particular cat weighed about 9 pounds at the time. He's got thick fur on a petite build.

Cat Ball On The Radio

I just heard a cool radio show, the "Oh Behave" show on Pet Life Radio, featuring a great assortment of top-notch pet gifts and products, and promoting some really worthy charities that could use our support.

Rick Tamargo, the founder of HauteOrNotPets.com, was one of the guest speakers and he had some great things to say about my Cat Ball, which is currently featured on his 2011 Gift Guide. HauteOrNotPets is also offering my Cat Ball in a prize giveaway!

Merry Catmas?

I will confess it. Christmas is not that important to me.
I admit to being a humbug.

I do enjoy new opportunities to do silly things with my cats though, and Christmas has provided an excellent opportunity for this. Please enjoy a bit of "Merry Catmas", and thanks to Twix for being a trooper during this photo shoot.

He Always Makes Me Laugh

 This is the Mini Cat Ball, which seems to be the perfect size for most cats.

Tilt Shift Photos

Why are my kittens on the roof?

 There is a great website that you can use to easily enhance photos to have these effects.

 I love the miniaturization that the tilt-shift effect gives to real life scenes.

Tilt-shift style photos work best when the photo composition has horizon and other elements that help  

create the interesting and extreme effects. The tilt-shift website allows a degree of flexibility and control in creating your miniaturized photo.

Gravity Does Not Stop This Cat

When the Cat Ball rolled off the table, Pacer stayed in it. As you can see, Twix came over to check things out and the nature of the game really changed!

I'll be selling my Cat Ball product at the upcoming Evergreen Cat Fancier's show in Tukwila, Washington, October 15th and 16th. It's a chance to see these things in person and to see the best in local cats!

We're Going to a Cat Show!

Have you ever been to a cat show?
They are very interesting events!

Cats get all stretched out like this:

It's just something that is done for judging.


About 25% of the entertainment is seeing those weird hairless hats in person.

The rest of the amazement is in the people watching! I love seeing the cool cages people have set up for their show animals, seeing people handling their cats and just the people watching in general.
